Did you know that even if you don't own a Kindle device you can buy and read a Kindle book such as IBS—Free at Last Second Edition?

It's true. You can download free Kindle Reader software for almost any computer or smartphone. Kindle is a great format for a reference book like mine. You can have a comfy read on your kindle device, search the book rapidly and effectively on your computer, and bring it everywhere with you (grocery store?) on your smartphone. I optimized the Kindle version to take full advantage of the Kindle's functionality, with dozens or internal and external links. Try it! You'll like it!

I prefer the .epub versions of books. You can still search and they are not monopolizing one product. Nook can also read other file types, just not for the Kindle because they are proprietary. I really wish this was available for the Nook as I will never buy it in Kindle format because I feel strongly about making information available to all, not just those who purchase the right products to access them.
