IBSDietplan.org interviewed me on these questions:
- How to find a dietitian knowledgeable about FODMAPs
- Is FODMAPs restriction accepted by the mainstream medical community?
- How to decide between FODMAPS, SCD and Heather Van Vorous/Help for IBS
- FODMAPs restriction v. elimination
- FM v. FODMAPs
Thanks to IBSDietplan.org for the opportunity to get the word out!

That was a really good interview!

What about onion and garlic in herbal preparations? Oregemax is an herb for digestion that contains fod-map ingredients that should be avoided. Any thoughts on taking? Neither are the first ingredient...

Onion powder and garlic powder do contain FODMAPs, and I would leave off taking them deliberately as a supplement while on the elimination phase of the diet. You could use them during the fructan challenge. FMI: http://www.ibsfree.net/ibsfree_at_last/2011/01/herbs-and-spices.html
